    I'm pleased you see that perspective. I'm more that willing to hear (read?) your perspective or philosophy on combat, training, the arts or in life at general.

    It isn't often that people find a superior or an inferior to themselves in the martial world. From all my time fighting, training and meeting masters, I've learned that we all learn fairly. It changes by the way we interpret fellow warriors.

    There is only so much that you can learn physically from teachers and masters that you can't learn on your own from hard work and extreme self-critique. Mentally though, spiritually though, we grow the way understand others and their movements.

    If you interpret your teacher to be cocky in his style, you'll react in your own training to either assimilate or oppose his ideas. (I'm just throwing out hypotheticals to get my point across)

    That and physically, I've been beaten down by people with no training whatsoever. They've just fought other fighters so frequently that they can read bodily motion superfluously.
    This proves it's not technique, it's the man, and this man humbled me so.
