Don't think I get beat Mario's hob of blowing stuff up.

I work full time on the web. In addition to running websites of my own, I blog frequently for other websites.

After uni I worked in finance for a few years. Mainly pensions though I did some temporary contracts in other areas such as mortgages, PPI etc too. Also worked in financial regulation in which I dealt with complaints. I then resolved the issue and advised the customer they could go to the FSA etc. This involved having to apologise about the incompetence of others in a letter and listing to previous phone calls etc! Very boring but it paid very well too for a 9-5 job.

Currently my job title is "network specialist" duties include virus removal, computer setup, network design, network deployment, wireless network design and deployment, tower climbing to deploy/maintenance networks(I should go for a climb today;) ), RF cable building, server design/deployment, virtualization, fixing web pages, some database admin, IT security, data center security, and some reverse engineering and research that the boss thinks I can magically pull out of my a$$(which I somehow get it done:rolleyes: )... did I mention that I am over appriciated and under paid:confused:

Thinking about going back to school to get my degree in Computer Science to specialize in IT security, trust me they need more security IT guys out there some of the things I have seen it's just bado_O , not sure what route I am going to take to get there yet though.

Since you asked, I work as a doctor of Oriental medicine. I have an acupuncture clinic in Albuquerque, New Mexico USA where I treat up to 6 patients in one large space while they relax in recliners (this way I can charge less and not worry about insurance billing!). Its called Spirit River Healing Arts (http://www.spiritriverhealingarts.com). This is also where I hold Taiji Chuan classes. So that's what I do, I stick people for a livin'. :)

I started as a Radio TV Engineer when I was 16 back in 1965. One of the 1st trained on Colour TV repairs and then Video Recorders, Moving on to CD's Hi Fi Systems. Then it was Flat screen plasma TVs installing as well as repairing them which led to Home cinemas and computers, Installing Networks and that led on yo EPOS Shop Till systems. Which I am now installing and maintaining. ITs fun and lets me travel the country but still time to teach and train.

I'm an Operating Room Nurse. I was a Surgical Tech for 8 years then decided to go to nursing school. It's the best job I have ever had. I can't imagine doing anything else.
Before that I did Catering (cooked once for a British Ministry of Defense meeting at a local company), worked as a ground crew for Delta Airlines, worked for Skippers, did grounds keeping, waxed and stripped floors for a Janitorial company, worked for AM/PM, and worked as a short order cook. Wow, that a lot of jobs... LOL ... Never put them all down in one place.

    Good thread.
